Here I am at Rob's in Saltair, on the Island, with my sister, Elsa. We came over on the 10:15 from Tsawassen yesterday, a pleasant sea voyage of almost 2 hours. I have yet to do any exercise - I haven't done anything the last 3 days.
Wednesday was the hottest day of the year, and the only thing I did was walk around with the grandkids and paddle in the ocean - it was just too hot! And yesterday, we visited with Rob and Nikki, then drove to Nanaimo and visited with Rae and Ross, going to the Dinghy Dock Pub for dinner. While all of this involved some perambulation, it also involved imbibing cold beer and cool wine, so not so healthy, although definitely fun!
Today we are going to go out in a boat, we just haven't decided whether it will be the sailboat or the motorboat.

- I am of primarily Scottish origin, born and raised in B.C. I love my family intensely, and treasure time with them above all else. Family includes a partner, 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, 3 grandchildren, and 2 step-children, all of whom live reasonably close. I love riding my motorcycle, and consider sailing a spiritual practice. I am working on becoming strong and fit, the better to enjoy all of the above. Non-physical pursuits include reading (modern novels, Jane Austen, and sci-fi), watching movies, doing crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, and baking. Cooking dinners, not so much. My personal philosophy is 'Do no harm' and I confine my road rage to inside my car; however, insects enter my house at their own risk, which is why I'll never qualify as a Buddhist as much as I believe in the basic tenets. Although I used to be 50/50 introvert/extrovert, I am finding more and more that I need time and space of my own to re-energize. I have a quirky sense of humour and am quick to understand - neither quality applying to electronic devices. Pretty traditional but love to embrace differences.
